Music After School

Music and the arts are an integral part of the Primary Years and Middle Years curriculum at the Beacon School. To support those students who have a strong interest in pursuing music in greater depth, Beacon also provides enrichment classes and activities after school.  The Music After School programme aims to foster a lifelong appreciation of music, and to develop the skill to perform as a solo performer or as part of an ensemble. Opportunities are provided in Guitar, Strings (violin), Keyboard, Glee, and MS Band.  In addition, individual lessons can be arranged through the school for violin, piano, guitar and drums.  Recitals are held, and students in the Music After School programme are often called on to perform at school wide assemblies and events.
